Michelle was nominated because she will do for others before herself. She gives completely selflessly. She has organized many charity raffles for benefits all over the community without even thinking about the time and effort it takes. She is always the 1st one to reach out to others in their times of need and will follow up to see what she can do to help or just to check on you. She has a heart of gold.
Michelle was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She has lived in Portage County for 43 years. She currently works for the Stevens Point School District as a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Bannach Elementary. Over the years as a Special Education teaching assistant she has learned to adapt to many different learning style for the unique individuals she has worked with.
She is also responsible for creating and running numerous basket raffles in Portage County for community members in need of financial support during or after dealing with illness or loss of a loved one. Some of her fundraisers have been "Kickin' Cancer's Backside" for Dave Grabski- a beloved SPASH Educator and the annual "Racks' n Rods" basket raffle- an event that typically partners with a local bar featuring a car show and basket raffles for someone in need which changes each year.
