Jordan was nominated to be recognized as a hidden hero because she has a huge heart and a very warm personality. She has wore many hats in the community such as working at the Stevens Point YMCA, providing quality customer service. At the same time she was a waitress at Hilltop Pub, which I'm sure was not an easy job with a full house on Friday nights, but she made it look easy. Now a days she is an educator in our community. Being kind to others while working, sharing a smile, and going above what is expected of you is what a hidden hero is and Jordan's work throughout the community is the definition of a hidden hero. Thank you so much for all that you do for our community.
Jordan was born and raised in Portage County and has lived in Stevens Point for 23 years. Her passion for teaching started early on, playing "school" while growing up, and having a love for helping others; so she decided to become a teacher. While attending elementary school Jordan loved helping her teachers, and continued being involved as she grew older. Throughout middle school and high school Jordan participated in various clubs, volunteered in school offices to include the health office, and even got involved with the Safety Committee at Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH).
Her parents and family member set great examples for her regardless of situation or hardship. These values helped her to become successful in high school, college, and now teaching. She believes "Everyone has their own talents to share and it is important to share those talents with the world".

What makes you happy?
Being with my family and co-workers. I am lucky to have a wonderful pup- Zagori, amazing fiance, and the best team to work with. They all keep me smiling and are so supportive!
How does living in Portage County influence you?
Being a teacher in the district that I grew up in is such a blessing. I meet with teachers I had in the past and they are always so thoughtful and encouraging. I was lucky enough to do practice with many of the amazing teachers in the district such as Ryan Hinner, Andrea Marty, Jessica Fischer, and Angela Hintz. I had the opportunity to learn so much from them. Living in Portage county has allowed me to have many opportunities while still living in a small community in which I feel close to everyone.
Where are you headed?
I cannot wait to continue to learn from those around me and become a better teacher each day.
Who's your hero?
My parents because they taught me to have a strong work ethic and always do what was right, even if it was hard.
What can people from the community learn from you?
Lean on your support team and never be afraid to ask for help. I have relied on so many people from teachers to co-workers and my family. It is tremendous how much you can learn in a short amount of time.
What is your most deeply held belief?
