Ally was nominated because she helps many survivors and victims of domestic abuse and/or human sex trafficking. She does this all on her own and coordinates a huge benefit every year called Tattoos For Triumph. She and her husband even have a non-profit doing free cover up tattoos for people who have scars or branded tattoos. A story was just released about them on a nation wide website called 'OZY'. She and her husband are a huge deal in our community. They deserve the support and recognition and by recognizing them locally more people could come forward who need help!
Tattoos for Triumph is an event that is held at the Holiday Inn, in Stevens Point. The event is held in January because that is the month of awareness for human sex trafficking. With a minimum of a $30 donation, you get the choice of a simple tattoo the size of a business card or a henna tattoo or a message. Proceeds go to a local women’s shelter and other organizations for trafficking victims. During past events speakers from the Department of Justice and human trafficking victims shared their stories with a crowd of more than 500.
Ally's goal was to help educate the community and help raise funds to support the trafficking victims.

The illegal adoptions occurred during the Pinochet dictatorship in the 1970s and 1980s. The missing became known as the "Children of Silence".
